Israel and the Zionist precursor is an odd perversion or output of living as a dispora for 2,000 years. Jews want a home to feel secure from white cultural nationalism. They're not worried about arabs or Persians (geography demonstrates this, look where they fucking moved). Israel is in a sense an Achilles heal. Post WW2 the Brits (and US successors) installed Israel in the middle east as a permanent beachhead. As long as Israel is there, the middle east will always be militarized, and that conflict is a necessary pretext for the US to control energy output. The US presence is more complicated (Sunni/Shia etc) but Israel is a big aircraft carrier.
The foreign aid we give is a pittance compared to the benefits. For the Jews, on paper, Israel has never made sense. It's not otherwise remarkable. All these super smart Jews the place should be nirvana, but it's not. They've had to fight constant battles (most often without direct US support) and they're basically a pawn on the table. The US didn't attack Iran for Israel, they did it BECAUSE of Israel and that is precisely the point.
This instance in my estimation is part of an overall plan to lockdown global energy to ensure the US dictates the future of computational power which will be the currency of the future. Iran is only part of the theater. |

Oil isn't really a factor in the Russian decision to attack Ukraine. They went into Ukraine because that is the one path into Russia. Every invading army over the past 300 years has attacked through the Ukrainian lowlands. If Russia locks up Ukraine they have a much more defensible position. They can act like a world island insulated from sea-based powers like the US (lots more complicated than that). The US pushed basically right up to the Russian underbelly when we installed the current regime. The Russian population is going to fall off a cliff over the next decade so this is their only window to push NATO back and secure their border. That's a tough one. The Ukrainians are really just in the way. |
