How did Sam Darnold suddenly become good after 7 years?

- Probably got by in high school and college on natural talent with zero work ethic, so studying film and other things you need to do to be successful in the NFL was never developed. Most people don't know he was a great HS basketball player as well (supposedly could have played a little D1 college bball), so he's a gifted athlete.
- Drafted by shitty franchise with shitty coaching and still kept trying to get by on natural talent
- Played on a couple mid Panthers teams. This is where he started to improve but no one noticed because he played for the Panthers, who no one watches. He nearly dragged an awful Panthers team into the 2022 playoffs.
- Finally got to a franchise ran by adults, learned from Kyle Shanahan, probably matured as a person and finally put together the tangible and intangible skills needed to succeed.
- This Vikings team is easily the most talented he's played with in the NFL, so things seem like they are finally coming together for him.
