Catholic "fasting" rules on lent are straight out of disco fries playbook

Fasting means a person is permitted to eat one full meal. Two smaller meals may also be taken, but they are not to equal that of a full meal.

Don’t try to kill yourself with it, but it can provide a nice sustained “kick” to the end of life get water fast. I’m doing 5.5 days total right now. 4-days water fasting, 1.5 days dry fasting. I will report on my results. Already 12+ hours into the dry fast part and feeling pretty good. The real tell will be tonight (if I have muscle spasms, low back pain). I’ll let you know.
