Shota is your server so obviously he’s giving five star reviews he wants you in the restaurant all the five star reviews are from workers and investors truth be told there are so many good sushi spots on Ventura already and this place is pretty pricey for food that has you scratching your head at times like was this worth the 50 bucks for one roll of sushi it was ok but not that good sugar fish is still my go to and if you want rolls that aren’t in that werid soy paper that makes you feel like your eating cardboard definitely kozunori both great restaurants at normal prices.

it was one of the earliest reviews saying he was let in to a special catered meal before the restaurant opened. it was incredible and well worth the wait. He neglected to mention the meal was for the staff.

he has enough real clients that he wouldnt need to get fake reviews. he can just encourage them to write a review like any other business does. and he obv gets results for his clients so it's not like they think some other shitlaw firm down the street would have got them $12k insteead of 10k for their fender bender.

Music is WAYYY too loud. Couldn't have a conversation with my party without screaming. I asked for flat tap water and was given an 8.00 single serving bottle of water. This was followed by being given the wrong drink order, at which point, my correct drink was finally given midway through my meal.

Now the food...

The sushi wasn't given with wasabi or ginger, the fish was chewy and I couldn't even break apart some tendon in my sushi I had to spit it out. I'm currently taking a scale out of my mouth from the sushi

The title of this review is one hit wonder. You may go once, but your a fool to go twice. Sushi is good, not mind blowing to pay $26-55 for rolls and minimum $30 for a sashimi plate in this neighborhood. Cocktails good but at $17/18 a pop I would like some alcohol in it. The prices for this neighborhood are just not justified. There is a homeless dude chilling by your car and a Panda Express next door. The restaurants that survive here are mostly casual dining and I don't see this place lasting more than a year. And that's with the owner exhausting a loan and his own funds. Oh and your mandatorily obligated to pay a minimum 20% tip. I'm not cheap just saying what everyone else is thinking.

Overpriced by 30-50% more than its comparable places on Ventura Blvd. The staff is amazing and food is great, but not with the huge price tag. Rolls should be $25-40 where down the street it's $15-25. Lastly, the music is pretty loud but not too bothersome.
