2 years of training can you steal 30 bases in the MLB?

2 years of training on how to get jumps etc. You can also hire speed trainers and trainers to help you get into shape and lose weight.
Same rules, past balls and errors etc don’t count.
You will get on base off of this calculation: Take the person in the MLB who leads the league in getting on base and you will get on base one more time than him.
You won’t have any injuries.
You will be your accurate age though at the end of the two years.
You can steal every time you’re on and you don’t need to worry about the risk of being benched. However they might catch on to you stealing every time and will act accordingly.

First one of these where I think I have a chance. I won’t get benched or get the drop sign if I get thrown out so I’ll get lots of chances. The new rolls are extremely favorable to base stealers.
Some of these catchers are really bad at throwing out runners and the throws aren’t close.

for reference, Ronald Acuna led the league in OBP last year at .416. he had 735 plate appearances. So you would be on base 307 times
this is pretty doable. there's plenty of garbage time AB. the fear would be getting beaned for stealing too much in garbage time, but i guess if you can't get injured go for it

Yes, it's a deliberate understatement, because these threads bring from the woodwork a bizarre cadre of presumably obese/azn lifelong non-athletes who insist, e.g., that if you got a guaranteed 530 MLB ABs across a season after having a year to train, you would have 0 HRs and a <.030 batting average.
When you point out that NL pitchers provide an instructive starting point, and that in all likelihood you'd be BY FAR the worst player in MLB, and would never in a million years have a roster spot (let alone 500 ABs) but for the OP's hypo God Mode, but would, accepting the hypo, still probably hit above .100 and have a handful of HRs (if that's what you were shooting for), you will *literally* have people fighting with you that noted onetime HR-hitter Bartolo Colon -- a morbidly obese man who twists his entire body when he swings, closing his eyes and often causing his batting helmet to pop upwards off his head in a comic spectacle, rousing uproarious laughter from players and fans alike -- is actually an ELITE HITTER whom you could not possibly hope to emulate at the plate.

(1) Yes, which is why I said I'd be optimizing SBs, not necessarily stealing every time. It goes w/o saying that as attempts go up, success rate goes down, for multiple reasons, including (as you've identified) that the battery starts to really prepare for your steal attempt. Although bear in mind, there are plenty of times when they won't gaf about the base and will let you take it, under circumstances that the official scorer will still call an SB.
(2) Bro, mighty MO VAUGHN, who was fat af by Golden Corral standards, had an 11-SB season in '95; he got 2-4 during most of the rest of his career. I have to imagine a lot of those were semi-uncontested -- given that I could roll a fucking shopping cart to second base faster than Mo could run there -- but this just reinforces my point.

In 2022, Trea Turner led the league in stolen bases with …. 32.
Since they increased the bags and put on the pitch clock and checked the number of pick off attempts, Acuña Jr managed 72.
90 percent of professional players who have been training for decades cannot accomplish this.
This may be the dumbest baseball hypo on this bort, which is saying something. Stealing a base is as much art as athleticism. Anyone saying yes is delusional.

Good hypo. Do I go to first each time? Is anyone on base in front of me? It'll be tougher if I start on third and have to steal home.
In all seriousness, I could definitely do this.

I feel like everyone itt is delusional and this is waaay harder than it looks
I doubt they steal 3 without getting leveled on the tag by 2B or whoever covers, hit my multiple dead on ball accurate fastballs by the catcher at base, I used to play and my sprint speed is fast and I’m wide so def luck into some fake out tags but this is absurdly hard at pro level
You’re just banking on them fucking up out of the infinite attempts basically
