There are some remote jobs that pay more, but they're uncommon and therefore hard to get. And for my new job, my total compensation comes closer to ~$240k when factoring in bonus and other perks. I’m going to make about $250k this year and it’s whatever but my costs are Fixed and a great deal of it is just funneled to retirement or investments so I can be financially solvent while aging and dying slowly in agony.
