Russian engineers are humiliating shitlibs with STEM degrees from Stanford and MIT. Shame on libs for being outsmarted by Russian engineers. Not just Americans but the Brits, the Germans, the Australians, all got beat by Russia.

1. Auto-rotate is the safest landing for a damaged ship

2. Helicopters that are capable of doing so (i.e., US attack ships) fly at so low above ground that a parachute won’t help you.

The US Army cannot offer its helicopter pilots anywhere near that level of protection. Russians are taking better care of their troops. They designed an entire helicopter platform from the ground up with primary intent of making it safer.

cr, and this is basic engineering the US has been experimenting with since the 1940s. Contra rotating blades eliminate the need for a tail rotor, which by itself makes these helicopters MUCH safer for the pilots. We can't even do that. We gave up decades ago. The Valor V-280 eliminates the tail rotor but look at the engine placement. Does that look safe at ALL? And it still doesn't have ejection seats.

Russians still havemt mastered the jump timing. Not surprising they also suck at basketball. Each culture has its strengths amd weaknesses but ill take old fashioned nigger fast twitch over russian emgineering any day.

It's incredible. I've been documenting this for nearly three (3) months now and Ukrainecucks still don't believe it's true. They are still in denial. In US helicopters, you pretty much have to expect a missile will kill everyone on board. These Russian choppers let the pilots survive to fly again with that much more experience. Imagine taking a missile in the ass in a helicopter and surviving and getting back in another helicopter. Imagine having pilots like that in your Army. The US never will.

Joe Biden's US Army just put in a big order for these folks:

https://media.wired.com/photos/5a38531177a03325bdaea488/master/w_2240,c_limit/Bell-Helicopter-2.jpg

No, it doesn't have ejection seats. No plans to add 'em. Seems like maybe there's enough room between the rotors but whatevs. Biden knows best.

you would think the problem would be hitting the rotor blades on the way out. as it turns out, the rotor position can be easily referenced with the tech already in place so it’s just a matter of timing the ejection to occur at a moment where there is clearance directly overhead. the tests went well but when they tried it in the field the timing always seemed to be messed up. (it was a pretty big mess.) after a few dozen of these accidents somebody finally figured out that the g-forces necessary to accelerate through the rotor clearance window are much more destructive to the human body than the rotors themselves. i’ll tell you, the team at boeing sure had egg on their face that day! most of them were good enough sports to laugh at themselves because, hey, who could’ve seen that coming?

The rotors on the Russian driver helicopter just pop off and fall to the earf. The pilot and copilot ejection seats fire a few milliseconds apart from each other so they don't crash into each other in the air. It would be just like American engineers to try to syncronize it with the rotors though, using AI.

After a couple minutes of Internet research, the U.S. lost around 30 troops in Afghanistan in 2011 when a U.S. military helicopter was hit be a RPG. And I believe that is the only time that the U.S. has lost a military copter in combat (as opposed to accidents) since at least Vietnam. Maybe the reason that Russia has invested in this technology is because Russian copters are TTT pieces of shit that get shot down all the time. Did you ever think about that?

A political battle over legislation that safety advocates say would have prevented a deadly crash between a civilian passenger jet and an Army helicopter last year appears to have stalled in Congress.

A Senate bill that would’ve mandated military aircraft be equipped with specific signaling technology failed to pass the House Tuesday afternoon. The vote came a day after the Pentagon signaled its opposition to the legislation over “budgetary burdens” and alleged national security risks.
