but, over 15+ years, how do they get shit like bank accounts with kyc requirements or any financial product like a mortgage that would do a real credit check? |

Most require an SSN or some tax ID to open an account, but it's technically not required as long as the customer can provide proof of identity (foreign passport, state driver's license) and proof of residency. There are banks that cater to these customers. In some states you can get a license even if you're undocumented. For loans there are hard money lenders out there who don't give a shit about kyc.
I knew of someone from portugal who set up a C-corp with others to own property and manage a business. It had its own tax id, filed its own taxes, and pretty much banked as anyone else would. |
