We really only lost birthright citizenship by one vote. Just one vote.

That's how bad ACB's treachery was.
Alito, Thomas, Gorsuch - doesn't violate 14A.
Kavanaugh agreed it doesn't violate 14A, rather it violates a federal law which can be changed with 51 votes in Senate without having to amend the constitution. That is comparatively an easy fix. So, if ACB did her one job and went with the chads, we'd have 5 members saying it doesn't violate the 14A, and if Kav actually stuck to his dumb statutory argument, it would still be struck down but nonetheless provide a clear path to victory.
That's how close it was. Saving the West turning on what someone who has pitched themselves as a 'fed soc conservative' their whole lives, playing the political game all the way to the top, getting endorsements from conservative orgs, earning the trust of the President to be nominated. And after the knife is lodged, she doesn't remove it, but looks you in the eye and twists it.
She continues to enjoy cocktail parties in DC and Chevy Chase.

True
Though the fact that it was so close and *she* is the one solely responsible for its failure is upsetting.
I can't get mad at Roberts. He's a gay man appointed by an open borders president 20 years ago and has thoroughly revealed himself as a liberal on important issues. That's old news. She was a new appointee by a president who she knew was trying to MAGA, convinced enough die hards that she was one of them, and this is what we get.

Cons worked themselves up into a lather over this woman but it was pretty obvious at the time that at the very least she wasn’t a stone cold conservative vote. Not only just the Haitian and Down’s syndrome children but this should’ve been a giant red flag. But Orange Retard did retarded things and here we are.
According to Politico, "a copy of Barrett's ballot history from the Indiana Statewide Voter Registration System obtained by POLITICO [shows] Barrett voted in the 2016 and 2018 general elections, and the 2016 Republican primary, though she pulled a Democratic ballot in the 2011 primary."[6]
