Malaysia is a pretty rich country with an HDI of .80 and upper middle income status but it's per capita is only $12,240 versus $82,034 for US

Yet I'd say it's closest in Asia to how US is like. It has quite good highways and roads. In KL at least the public transport is good, better than most big US cities. The airports are functional but outside KL old. Trains and bus stations are still used but delipidated, they do have a pretty modern semi HSR train but its not Chinese level. Its like Acela but newer. There's sidewalks and crosswalks but its car centric. Most of the buildings are 40-50y old.

For health ppl are definitely healthier, less fats and life expectancy is abt the same 76.26 versus 77.43 for US.

You see less hobos and retards and mentally ill ppl.

Overall it's abt the US but better in many respects. This is why per capita is furking flame, the US is Malaysia levels but with way more crime and niggas.
