this isn't 100% because some companies are known to use gps monitoring on the laptop. but if they don't it's golden.
just realized you meant the country finding you out, not your company. i guess they could look into people connected to USA servers for 4+ hours a day, but that's pretty sophisticated. most of these places have enough trouble taxing their own citizens. the more advanced ones are selling digital nomad visas for your protection. |

I.e. if you're in euro your employer must pay those taxes, but if you are 1099 then employer don't pay anything. I was attached to another person's visa so assume the fees paid cover whatever the concern was. I was still flying back and forth and paid US / state tax.
The French won't even kick you out if you overstay your visa and they find out. |
