I'm a diehard EV lover, and I'll tell anyone that an electronic engine is superior to a combustion engine. But I still wouldn't recommend that a person buy an EV unless they can charge at home. Having said that, I'm virtually certain that as charging infrastructure becomes more prevalent and the price of batteries (far and away the most expensive part of an EV) continue to drop, the internal combustion engine will be done here, at least for conventional cars.
