Toyota Camry is the 4 cylinder, has 140k miles - $3000

Ford Fusion S, 90k miles, some body damage, $2500

the toyota and it isn't close, unless the thing is somehow rusting in half you are better off by far

you could add 50,000 miles to the camry and it would still be my answer. especially with the damage on the ford (but even without it)

that Toyota motor is good for another 100,000 files.

I'm not saying the Ford couldnt hit another 100k miles, but the Toyota is far more likely.

My son is still driving a 2003 Camry LE 4 cylinder automatic I bought new. I drove it for years then passed it on. Not all the 2003s had antilock brakes, so you might want to check if that’s important. I don’t know how many miles are on it. It’s had very few repairs even though he is careless about maintenance. No rust in salty Ohio. Incredibly reliable, cheap and easy to work on, and comfortable and pleasant to drive. I’d vote for the Camry.
