The obvious choice would have been Singapore, for multiple reasons, the first being that Tiger beer brewed in Singapore is still the regional standard other countries try to match. Singapore also brews Tiger locally. It's also so small and so commercialized that that there's almost no variance in prices, and no opportunity for price gouging. It's simply the most efficient beer market in the region.

After Singapore, the only other country that really makes export-worthy beer you'd buy is Thailand, which makes Singha.
