That sort of proves the point of the movie.
Fight Club attempted to diagnose the globohomo cultural cancer while it was in stage 3; we're now at stage 5 and there is no possible cultural return, only dissolution or solidification.
Every single ill that Fight Club mentions is only worse now: cubicle do nothing jobs, held by sterile bugmen with no worthwhile fathers, meaningful friendships or communities, or real economic opportunity -- zero vitalism or life, virtually no real hope. But now the rot has progressed further -- you correctly point out that all of Gen. Z is self-aware of this plight, and has even accepted it. In terms of convenience, access, and usage, surrogate activities now strictly dominate the archetypes they imitate. Post-irony, via the internet, has poisoned interaction and thought patterns such that nothing is really shocking or new or edgy anymore. We literally had open evidence that numerous high profile members of government, and the entertainment and financial industries were / are involved in pedophilic sex trafficking rings, and nothing ever happened. Nobody gave a fuck. I think Palahniuk, through Durden, would say something to the effect that now nobody even wants to fight -- the urge to even feel something is largely gone.
In some respects, you can probably attribute some of this to Fight Club itself (and media like it) -- we became inured to hearing of our condition, inoculated by knowledge and self awareness and filled with lethargy.
It's easy enough to sit in a post-internet universe where nothing ever matters and globohomo sits atop an increasingly sterile world in which nothing ever happens (even when it does), and say Fight Club is stale. But that's because Fight Club was right.
