"They could have made a deal. They should've done it sooner. They played too cute."

The claim is that elites of any background seeking optimal legitimation would converge on this framework because it uniquely provides necessary features. This is selection logic, not conspiracy.
For Jews I don't think they have a chops to carry it out themselves. I see the world far more influenced by genetics too. Most of our elite Jews are basically European but they get to have an in-group while being indistinguishable (mostly) from the host. But they're a dispora in often hostile lands, which has shaped and refined their ability to operate as an in-group. By the way, this also explains why they excel in science and academics - they're by nature more skeptical of host assumptions.
Great read https://www.jstor.org/stable/2141518?seq=1 Veblen is a genius.
I'm skipping forward a lot to get to Israel, but it's the Jews biggest folly. It's a shithole surrounded by lunatics who are their archenemies. You'd think with all of the genius Jews Israel would dominate nobel prizes but it's meh. It's by and large a failure. It's not a rational play.
This irrationality was not unnoticed by Anglo elites. They cultured and nursed early Zionism in the late 19th century. They love putting enemies next to each other for the conflict. Same as Nazis with bolshevists in eastern Europe, the Jews volunteered to open the front on the pivot area line ringing the heartland which drops through the middle east. It's a perfect arrangement. Power will never coalesce in the area as long as Israel is there, and that is the primary American interest. We need constant friction to justify our involvement.
