Date: March 18th, 2026 4:27 PM Author: Magical purple tanning salon Anything that allows legislation to pass with 50 votes is getting rid of the fillibuster. Which means the Dems can use it to give DC statehood or whatever their huge priority is, when they get a chance to do so.
The talking fillibuster is actually worse for Senators because it forces Republicans to keep 50 members around at all times to vote down amendments. So they don't get to go home on Thursday afternoon or whatever. |
