The logic games were tough for sure but they were tilted toward local optimizers who think quick on their feet and do good with puzzles, especially with practice. The logic games were almost algorithmic to solve after enough prep, but the time limit itself was what was brutal and always is going to have the potential to take away a few points which are what matters when you get up to the elite part of the curve. But the rest of the questions which were basically all reading comp with some light reasoning and inference mixed in are the type of thing that don't improve with practice as much and are more the result of accumulated literacy and IQ. Are you sure they just took the logic games off, or did they also take off the more difficult types of LR and RC questions, the ones that might "unfairly hurt" certain groups of people (ahem the most difficult cognitively)? Because then that would explain why everyone just gets a high score now moreso than simply removing logic games. It's a shame because I always thought the LSAT was the best designed standardized test after the SAT was dumbed down (MCAT scores come from flashcards and the ACT was always stupid). Regardless of what people claim, getting a high score on the old LSAT took some impressive cognitive ability and stamina.
In summary, everything is fake and gay now. |

The major event in 1995 was “re-centering” which basically added 60-120 points to your score with more padding on the tails, so a ~1350 became a ~1470. It was the beginning of the period where being over 1500 became a differentiator as opposed to 50 more points than you needed to get in anywhere. Thats mostly held up just due to the continual stupidity curve we’re on as a country, but there are like 100x as many 1600s now as there were in the 90s. You get a note from a doctor and they just give you "accommodations" where they give you extra time. LSAT it required a bit more proof and they would put a stamp on your app saying you had accommodations. LSAC does not annotate the score reports of individuals with disabilities who take the LSAT with testing accommodations, including the accommodation of extended testing time. All scores are reported in the same manner (accommodated scores are reported in the same manner as non-accommodated scores). Further, LSAC does not notify or communicate to law schools that a candidate has requested or tested with accommodations.
