They operate as though they have limited bodies which is why they're on their 4th(?) wave of mobilization now while Russia is just finishing their first. Obviously, a scenario where you're willing to kill most people in your country for a war to save your regime changes the situation.
As an aside, I know numerous Ukrainians who had the means to gtfo before this started that are hiding out abroad and probably never coming back. |

That hasn't been Ukraine's "entire strategy," which has involved a lot of disruption of Russian supply lines in the rear–most famously, that's what has led to Russia's latest defeat in Kherson, but also Russia's defeat at Kiev played out similarly. But you ignoring and downplaying this explains why you were caught so flat-footed when the defeat came.
Meanwhile Russia's advances in Donbass have all come from frontal attacks on entrenched Ukrainian positions. |
