New Big Law policy: No Out of Office emails for Partners, "Partners," & Counsel

Date: August 14th, 2026 1:13 PM Author: vibrant karate Big Law firm just announced a new policy effecitve immediately: Partners, non-equity partners, and Counsel can no longer send automatic email replies outside the firm when out of office. They say it's a bad look. My practice group/speciality has done a great job of covering for each other when one of us is out, so this is causing a lot of consternation.
