Quality silverware is made of .925 silver and stamped by a silversmith.

Weighty things are probably made of stainless and are basically junk.

Lots of junk in the silverware case, but about 120 quality .925 pieces in there as well. These were from 1960 (my grandmother remarried after my grandfather died and the silver from this second wedding went to dementia mom and then down to me). It’s worth some money.
