TomorrowDog 4 hours ago#2 Senior year, me and another guy were competing to take the head cheerleader to prom. During our prom interviews she asked about our recent gaming accomplishments. He said "I played Super Mario 64 I guess." I laid out a spectacular array of titles - Crash Bandicoot, Digimon World, Final Fantasy, Twisted Metal. All storied franchises with sequels on the PS1. At points she would ask if such franchises were the prime representatives of their genre, then I would regale her with more tales of games that fit every niche of every genre.
I don't have to tell you how this story ends. Let's just say the fruit punch at prom was delicious. |

Date: March 17th, 2026 1:17 PM Author: Fragrant Wrinkle MGS isn’t a stealth game past the DARPA chief. It’s a bait and switch not unlike MGS2 in some ways. MGS1 is a boss fight/cutscene game with a Demo Disc portion that’s a stealth game. Once you get to the area with wolves attacking you the base is basically deserted.
Kojima is a genius imo. He realized that stealth gameplay sounds cool af but is only good in small doses. |
