US is top worldwide producer of curde, is not entirely dependent on strait of hormuz. we produce like 12 million barrels per day. Crude imports from the persian gulf are a tiny share at this point. And Russia did not preselll all of their barrels but they sell a lot of them to India and China, not all. Helium is more fragile but US still has substantial domestic production.
