prestigious couple (she descended from cornelius vanderbilt; he went to yale law and runs arden asset mgmt). they met when he was senior associate to her junior at davis polk.
according to her op-ed, the husband just had an affair and bailed on her and 2 teenage daughters during covid, said it wasn't the life he wanted. anyway, pretty sad

I used to see a lot of guys like that in IB and PE.
I can commiserate with him at some level, but I can’t respect anyone who blows up their personal life to exchange one woman for another. I’m sure his wife ran him up the wall at times, but a new woman isn’t going to be any different. I have no idea what his children are like, but at some point you have to stop living for yourself and start making choices about what’s best for them. |
