It concerned a fellow named Lawrence King, of Omaha NE, who was convicted of embezzling $40M from the Franklin Federal Credit Union in Omaha. There were allegations that he was procuring minors, mainly boys, from the Boys Town foster community for sex parties attended by prominent people. There were also allegations of anonymous phone calls and threats, and of pressure against the alleged victims to recant their testimony. The private investigator hired by the NE Legislature, who was a former state trooper, and his son died when the small plane he was flying crashed. |
