What would make it "super" to them? It already scores higher on almost every cognitive metric than humans by orders of magnitude. A lot of these tests uses to measure it consist entirely of problems the average human can't even attempt. It is solving open problems in pure maths left and right, deriving new results in theoretical physics. Knows more than even possible for any human to learn in a lifetime. Synthesizes across disciplines with ease where human experts have narrow domain knowledge.

So when do you think they will admit it is "super"? There are midwits all over reddit and other sites still argue it doesn't even count as intelligence

Calculators did the same thing no? I still haven't seen AI in use anywhere other than robo-secretaries. I know it's smarter than me, so are 65% of people according to tests, yet very few are doing what I do professionally so what gives?

ultimately doesn't matter what you call it what matters is the functional results. But its just funny to hear midwits constantly hedge about it and move goalposts and I'm wondering what if anything would ever cause them to admit it's "super"

they just “don’t like” AI so they aren’t being objective imho

I don’t think they realize that systems just need to be built that play to AI’s strengths. Once those systems are Engineered, it can operate efficaciously af.
