how is it possible that there are that many oranges to make all the orange juice for everyone. Same with chicken wings.

If your only ingredient is oranges and you're juicing then with equipment readily available for home use, you'll need several hundred oranges for each 8 oz serving of juice

but it's not. It would take trillions upon trillions of oranges to meet the actual 100% OJ demand. It doesn't make any sense.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Citrus_production

“The two main juice producers are Florida in the United States and the state of São Paulo in Brazil. Production of orange juice between these two makes up roughly 85% of the world market, using nearly 12 quadrillion oranges per year.[4] Brazil exports 99 percent of its production, while 90 percent of Florida's production is consumed in the United States.[5]“

no, it's not more affordable. i fresh squeeze small servings of orange juice every few weeks. (don't like drinking sugary beverages regularly.)

to get 16 oz (four 4 oz servings) takes about eight oranges. it's common to spend $8 on juicy, good quality oranges. you could get by with spending $5 on crappier oranges but it doesn't taste as good.

a carton of tropicana or florida's natural will be cheaper but as is now well-known, that shit is fake juice, manufactured at industrial scale and flavored with packets to get consistent taste.

8 oranges = 560 calories. but that counts eating the orange, not just the juice. the pulp that remains behind contains some calories. so it's really less, maybe 500 calories

also, note that i'm using 8 oranges to make 4 servings. so each person is drinking 2 oranges worth of juice

do you keep your pinky up as you sip your 4 oz serving of OJ?

When I get a bottle of OJ I pound the whole thing in like 30 seconds.
