Then they’d fail make enough money to cover the costs and the medallion would get repossessed. About 4 years ago, I remember having a talk with a wholly-under qualified DEI hire from Baruch who told me she was quitting ibanking to go to law school because her illegal immigrant parents were facing deportation. Her dad was a janitor and I have no idea what her mom did, but they owned their own home in Queens and got onto ICE’s radar by buying a second home and renting it out to someone who they got into a disagreement with. |
