Hotels in popular vacation areas are at least 100% more expensive now vs 2020

What’s driving this to be so much higher compared to overall inflation? |

Basically instead of pussyfooting around like they used to, they felt comfortable jacking up prices since they could just blame inflation so they had "cover." It isn't so much corporate greed as corporations trying to come out of the Chaos of COVID ahead rather than Ruined. A competitor could undercut them nbd but it takes time to Build Hotels.
