the best thing i've seen from israel regarding the matter was a nondescript jewish guy on twitter coolly saying (paraphrased) "it's true that the relations between the peoples involved are spotty, but here is a factual list of atrocities performed by hamas in the last two decades alone, and the israeli people don't deserve this treatment". i didn't feel patronized, it used citations and sources to make its case, and it explained that what all happened amounted to a series of verifiable war crimes. this sort of thing is far and few between though
