Barring injury there’s no reason he can’t be a top 5 qb for a while. The mobile qbs that fall off quickly are those that are mobile first, Lamar has a real arm. He can still be shifty in the pocket for a while like Rodgers or Steve Young. |

However, whether or not they retained him, their Super Bowl window closed after the playoffs last year. They're done here. Keeping him around was their best bet to keep competing for a playoff spot, but they need to rebuild if they want to make a run at a Super Bowl. And it's fair to say that at 63 years old, he wasn't the guy for the rebuild. |

It's no guarantee of success but Lamar is an MVP, seems to have the will to win. It may be a rosy assessment of Lamar but he's still a productive player.
Harbaugh on the other hand... sucks. And I think he's sucked for a long time. He's been the most overrated coach. The guy makes a lot of bonehead errors. I was never sure what the hype about him was. Ravens are better off with this move. |

Lamar plays in a gimmick offense and feats on teams that are unfamiliar with his style of play.
He absolutely sucks in the playoffs because good teams can defeat his gimmick when they have enough time and motivation to scheme against it.
Also, Lamar is much slower post injury, has semi-quit on his team 3 years now, and has his mom as an agent. Not sure he's who you want running the franchise. |
