Can't think of anything more materially gratifying than owning a plane, assuming you can own all other things people want that cost less than a plane. This seems pretty POTUS tier. Yachts just seem decadent imo. Plus how much do you really go boating. Not many people boat unless it's your weird niche hobby.

What if you're just attracted to normal adult women? Seems chill asf to fly a gaggle of SEC cheerleaders to a private island or even just a nice resort on a regular luxury vacation destination. You don't even need a ton of money to live the life. But the plane is a killer financially. I guess you could just charter and no one would know the difference.

Staying in those private villas at luxury hotels that are basically a huge house with 24h butler service detached from the main premises. Or one of the rare penthouses on the Vegas strip that has an outdoor rooftop pool and hot tub. Ceasars is the only one that I even know of (maybe it's Nobu now)

You can rent that shit a couple times per year. Pretty much 10 million net worth gets you there if you're old enough to draw down the principle from time to time and don't care about leaving anything behind.

Also explain how tf the butler service is detached? Do they cook your food and wheel it in on a cart?

It's a single family house with private amenities onsite at an already exclusive hotel that also includes 24/7 concierge and chef but your own exclusive one dedicated to you.

You asked about the highest tier of experiences. This is higher than presidential suite or a casita at the Four Seasons and typically available only places like where RSF stays.

The best known example is the 6500 sf villa at the Bellagio but tons of the more exotic luxury chains have them. They're not going to be listed on hotels.com or kayak ime

People go for the Gulfstream despite the ceiling because it can basically fly out of any airfield (its short field qualified) and flies at 50k feet avoiding lots of weather/traffic.

You can fly out of teterboro airport sneering at the fags on their way to JFK to board their BBJ and wait in the pattern.

Pebble Beach tournament (including Spyglass) is played on the best and most prestigious 2 courses in the world after Augusta and Cypress Point, and the latter are private clubs that no amount of money can buy a tee time. Cypress is also down the street from PB/Spyglass

So no, there is no "cooler" thing to do "as a golfer" than play the best 2 public courses in the world with PGA pros and celebrities in arguably the nicest location on earth

it's just off the top of my head. but since you mentioned it i just checked latest golf mag US top 100. pasatiempo at 67. spyglass hill not in top 100!

i said 8-10th best course. not public course. cmon dood. and no its not on the list https://golf.com/travel/courses/best-golf-courses-united-states-2024-2025/?srsltid=AfmBOoqrkCR9sDRM53wQkdYz8N18uWK8Ehzv4Mg5CAlSviALltnTNZ3j

anyway limiting it to publics you still have spyglass top 2 in the world? above st andrews old, turnberry ailsa and pinehurst 2? now that is absurd

I was talking about public courses this whole time brother. No idea why you are fixated on private clubs. How is that relevant to any of us? And yes spyglass is on every single top 100 or top 25 public list. And no I'm not going to compare to courses in fucking Scotland and shit vs Monterey lmao

Let me put it this way, the original post was talking about a cool rich guy experience. Only the wonkiest golf nuts care about flying across the Atlantic to play Turnberry or make a weekend trip out to Pinehurst.

If you were planning a bucket list trip with guys those wouldn't even be in the top 5 after Bandon, PB/Spyglass, Shadow/Wolf Creek. If I went to Scotland playing golf would not be high on my agenda.

I didn't mean it as an insult brother. Obviously you have a unique skill set, experience level, and enviable personal network. You have played over 100x more courses than me. Your POV is one of the gradually diminishing reasons I still post here.

But there is literally nobody I know IRL who played at more than 1-2 of the NorCal cc you listed (including multiple certified instructors trying to make the Korn Ferry, guy who worked at Titleist since back when they still owned Cobra, competitive amateur neighbor who plays tournaments on other continents and is friends with Clint Eastwood and a dozen pga pros)

None of them would say "spyglass is unranked" or not a t10-25 public course imho

no worries i didnt even take it as one its pretty true

to be clear though i actually think spyglass is underrated these days especially compared to a lot of the newer or newly reno'd courses getting accolades

Also not far from CordeValle for the same trip

Unless you’re Qatari style rolling your own 747 or at least a BBJ, eh. Great for short flights to avoid domestic airport hell but for a longhaul i’d rather fly commercial F than a small PJ. Megayacht aside from being a hole in the water you throw $ into is a game you can’t win. Almost always going to be BOATCUCKED by a bigger boat and then your “megayacht” look like a little bitch toy.

Macca flies commercial most of the time but when he goes on tour he charters PJ. Seems like hell going through an airport as a rich and famous person. Obviously he could afford one but he says owning a plane is a major headache. I can't imagine what it would be like if he was randomly your seatmate on a flight.

DomesTTTic sucks but for int’l they often have a different premium cabin entrance/check in/security that leads right to the lounge then someone escorts you from lounge to seat, sometimes they drive you (LX/LH) and on board if you select a window never have a seatmate/have to interact w anyone but the crew.

Most private jets aren't absolutely luxurious, but they surely do beat flying commercial. Scrunching into a Citation for a several hour trip is less comfortable than most coach seats, but avoiding crowds/security and having the flexibility of when and where you want to come and go are 180. I have done it a few times, but it's breathtakingly expensive. It I had $100M I would absolutely sign up for Netjets. Outright ownership of a jet is a huge PITA.

A jet, a yacht, a villa grand,

The price of luxury, across the land.

Debates ignite on a digital shore,

What truly defines "wanting more"?

Is it the freedom, to fly and roam?

Or a private island, a gilded home?

Some speak of harems, a troubling plea,

While others ask of virgins, eternally.

A Boeing Business Jet, the ultimate boast,

Or a Gulfstream small, a cramped, tight coast.

"Shortmos" lamented, a height-based decree,

While others sought solace in first-class glee.

Pebble Beach golf, a costly spree,

But "cooler" pursuits are longed to be.

A private chef, a staff at your call,

Or escaping the airport, avoiding the fall.

From yachts that are "boatcucked" by a larger design,

To starships imagined, a future divine,

The conversation meanders, wild and free,

A longing for comfort, for you and for me.

Netjets beckon, a hundred million's grace,

While some calculate fortunes, and find their place.

Eighty million short, a wistful sigh,

As digital voices drift and fly.

Then a turn to the rough, a jarring refrain,

A harsh, coded phrase, and echoing pain.

But quickly deflected, a mimicking tone,

Leaving luxury's questions, strangely alone.

So here in the threads, a world takes form,

Of excess and yearning, weathering the storm.

A glimpse into desires, both lavish and strange,

A 2026 dream, on the Autoadmit range.
