Key indicators: Seattle has 7x's the global average. Not everyone that gets mono gets Ms but 100% of people with Ms had momo, my wife included. |

For the momo part, the immune system figures out how to kill off the disease but apparently it has very similar markers with brain and nerve tissue. Later in life, these patients have their immune system cross blood/brain and when it gets in it thinks the nerve tissue is mono and starts using inflammation to kill it off. Once the immune system kills off a nerve pathway, it's gone forever. Eventually you're crippled and basically die.
I'm sure I butchered that but that's the gist. It's more likely if kids were vitamin d deficient leading into adolescences. |

Her MRI almost 2 years ago did not show lesions so I thought we were good, but she kept getting worse and we've ruled out any mimics. It started a few years ago with numb and tingling toes. Now it's moved up her legs. She has some vision problems and dizziness. She's miserable and it's hard to watch.
