we can declare mission accomplished and high tail it out of there but i suspect iran would just keep bombing our shit, so we're forced to stick around and at least try and defend it. as long as this goes on the strait isn't operating normally and oil prices go through the roof, which again kills us back home. we cannot win this militarily and they can't lose politically or economically unless we do some insane shit like blow up their dams and reservoirs, in which case all hell would break lose as they level the gulf oil fields and desal plants. |
