Ever hear of someone moving OUT of a storage unit?

Right now my storage company gave me a deal on a new unit- bigger unit for less money; the deal is going to save me 50% for 6 months, then it's going up to its full price which is a bit more than my current unit. I want to use the 6 months to move all my shit out. Is that realistic? |

these places have a tried and true business model. they get super aggressive about jacking up the rent, once you have all your shit packed into your unit. then you go on their website and discover they are renting identical units for 1/4 of your rate, but they refuse to lower your rate. then you keep paying for 2 more years. |

Then, I plan to move the needed things into my apartment closets. The impetus for this was the new unit is bigger, and on sale for 50% off for the first 6 months. So itll allow me to save money, plus be a step toward getting the fuck out of this thing. |
