Whenever I drop off the kids, there's like a 50 car line extending a block. Before we get near the front, i tell my kids to unbuckle and grab their backpack - then when we get to the school curb, i tell them to gtfo and start walking to the school.
Meanwhile 95% of parents wait to unload until the very front of the line (because god forbid Jayden walk a half block). Then they put the car fully in park, walk out to open the door for the kid, put on his coat, zip it up, then give him a hug goodbye, then walk back to the driver's side to pull out and make space for the next parent to do the same.
It's absolutely absurd people are doing this for any kids, let alone kids in 2nd grade.
