Like, if you're at some beach club. Everyone is sitting around having a homosexually good time. You've got some yacht bros posted up at a table in the back of the club. Then some non-yacht bros (or, "leggys" as I've heard them called) walk in, would the yachties scoff and possibly pay the check and leave?

sounds very gay but fine if you're courting some young biddy i will hand it to you. i bet you were holding her hand while snorkeling like a megahomo. all that aside, similarly to that woman from the Royal Caribbean commercials idk 20 years ago, would you say you saw a turtle friend?

I thought it would be gay but it was honestly better than the dives I did in Harbour Island around NYE where we saw almost nothing. It was super adorable when i'd go off after some fish or something and she'd go look at something else then swim up and grab me and like excitedly drag me to see something she thought was neat. Regarding the turtle friend, would probably just say "hello friend" possibly in an azn accent.

What's the maximum number of days you can stay in France before they start collecting taxes on you? I assume you stay under the limit and only pay US taxes? You're well under 50% of the year.

180 they earn every penny. I think it would probably be a big lifestyle adjustment if you suddenly had to pay full freight French taxes. This is why Johnny Depp left his wife and kids and came back to America. He was on the verge of U OWE and he told France to take a hike. It can happen to anyone!

At some point aren’t they just inconvenient villas floating at the town dock? Like, if you’re not actually using them to travel from place to place what’s the point?

to separate yourself from the proles / rabble. a measure of exclusivity. a more, elite, experience. etc.

Maybe. But you’re also stuck in a fairly confined space with a horde of crew around. And much of town looks down into your boat. Seems like much less privacy and exclusivity than being nestled in some villa with your own garden. At least in a med town. Take the thing out to fjords and I’m team yacht.

It's not easy to get there and it's pretty expensive

Not sure how many day trippers there are. To the extent there's anyone just passing through it's probably people who were on some other nearby island who thought fuck it why not check this other place out. But I think most are there deliberately and have means.

I met a guy recently who said he lived in Anguilla. He said Saint Barths was a million times better. It's like night and day from niggaland to a first world country.

Almost zero interactions, day trippers to St. Barth do stupid shit like walk around Gustavia with fanny packs where there's almost nothing to see and half the stores are closed while everyone else is at a beach club, on a hike, doing aquatic activities, by their pool on just chilling on a quiet beach.

Same sort of issue in St. Tropez. Day trippers will come for the TTTSEF twice weekly market, or to fannypack wander around town while everyone else is at the beach.

In both cases i'd imagine they're very disappointed and "don't get the appeal" because there's pretty much nothing worth seeing or doing in town during the day and you don't get much out of either place if coming for one day.
