Most overrated investor in the history of the world. Was right once, albeit in a big way. Though he was so early that he almost got blown the fuck out.

IMO most of his broad appeal comes from the fact that he got his initial outside capital after he wrote about good investment ideas on a Web 1.0 forum in his spare time. Gives him a sort of "everyman" appeal to people who want to believe more than anything that the system is going to fail and they'll be proven "right."
