They are just stealthy flying platforms for the best radars known to man. The speed, maneuverability or even range of an aircraft doesn't matter when you can fire a missile at a target before the enemy even knows you're there. |

It's an inherently flawed plane. The moment they tried to take one design and make an carrier capable fighter, a VTOL fighter and a standard air superiority fighter it was doomed. |
