Hated it in high school. Thought the kids who said they liked did it to be different and sophisticated.

shakespeare was obviously emotionally traumatized in the modern sense. all his plays have the point of view of someone whose psychological reality is overthrown and whose sense of things becomes excruciating/overly acute as a result.
very few people before the 20th century articulated this as well as he does.
