no.

1) it's outrageously expensive now

2) they nerfed the star rewards program to the point it's SPS

3) they never have decent app deals like dunkin

4) most of them are extraordinarily loud (though a lot of them have moved to these quieter blenders, the OPEN CONCEPT and hard surfaces everywhere make them loud af)

5) they are full of homeless and smell bad in any SBUX near or in metro areas

6) the interiors were remodeled everywhere to make them less attractive places to sit for any period of time because of (5)

7) they removed the half and half and milk self pour thermoses

no. a lot of local places are even MORE expensive than Starbucks.

The CR for good, cheap, fast coffee = Dunkin' Donuts. Not flame.

usually the prices are slightly lower or the same but the overall quality is better. starbucks coffee is actually pretty bad (see blind taste tests comparing sbux with McD and Dunkin coffee for example).

some local coffee places try too hard to be upscale and those, in my experience, are pretty much uniformly terrible and overpriced. instead of hot coffee coming out of a metal reservoir at 200 degrees, they will instead give you a bad, lukewarm pour over that costs $7

I've always thought Sbux is shitty. Whenever I'd grab one in the past, it was pure convenience and good service. The actual coffee sucks. Once in a while I'd have a Pumpkin Spice or a Cinnamon Dolce, but that's about it.

Quality of McD's coffee varies, but when it is good it is better than DD, which I find to be too weak.

not on a daily basis anymore for iced coffee. I’ll go on Saturdays sometimes just to sit and hear what people are saying because you can’t get that with a home brew

agree with the poaster below that the stars/deals in the app were pretty average and seem to have gotten worse/less frequent under the new ceo

The more basic bitches in the office prefer it to the local places that have single origin pour overs, etc. They just want their sugar sugar sugar and that’s simple as throwing a dart at the Starbucks menu.

it's like McDonald's, ubiquitous with customers barely or hardly even cognizant of what they're ordering or even where they're ordering from

it's simply there, and it provides SyscoSlop Sugar over-the-hill shrews and a place to hang out for indefinitely idle 50 year olds who still skateboard

It was $7 for one of their regular sized drinks the other day. Completely nuts.
