I have friends whose parents have a small fraction of my dad's wealth who have done 10x as much financially for them as mine have. People move heaven and Earth for their kids. To be clear, your dad does sound like a real miser and like a shitlib from what you've described elsewhere. Especially w.r.t. him excusing your sister for basically being a hooker. I think also that someone who is given truly substantial $$$ from their parents will have their own challenges. I like to think that if I were in that sort of situation that I'd do something really "outside the box" with my life. But I won't flatter myself.
