I know a dood in CA who turned down an antitrust case because he didn't have the bandwidth, not because he didn't want to. But the only trial lawyer on my radar in CA right now is a some lady who works like she's on meth and has access to unlimited expert witness fees

He's doing the Lord's work making shitlib corps pay up, even if his clients are dirtbags.

He also bets massively on himself which is 180.

Yeah that's probably smart. I had a few potential mega-class actions I wanted to refer to him, but I couldn't pull the trigger because I was too enraged by his political views (mainly his abhorrent gaslighting, incoherence and lack of any core principles; not really any specific positions).

What do you think about this one?

Apple has been auto-renewing app subs for my child, whose account I own under my family plan. But they don't let me cancel any of them from my own devices or parent account on Apple.com, nor send me any monthly invoices.

Just randomly noticed one time when her iPad was messed up that she had like $100s in monthly recurring charges that I could only cancel from her filthy iPad and it's all billed to my same Apple account

Arbitration clause.

But Apple is SPS for its billing, because it won't even tell you what the $14.99 or whatever is FOR. CA should pass a law requiring each charge for apps to specify what the customer received in return for the money.

And I've had this experience. When my youngest was 4 I bought a $4.99 app for him in the Google Playstore, but I'm a Gen Xer so I didn't know about "in game purchases." A few months later I was looking at my Amex and saw that he'd racked up $9,400 in charges. I sued them pro se in Marin Superior and they hired Cooley to defend it, lmao. They lost their stupid demurrer that probably cost them $60K, and then paid me back.

Yeah, we have what will be a VERY big ARL class action right now, and our judge just denied biglol's MTD at the hearing this morning.

But these dummies are foreign, and didn't have an arbitration clause in their TOS.

Apple will have one, so even if it's an ARL violation (it almost certainly is), the only remedy is to pay your half of the $50K in arbitrator's fees to get your $100s back.

You class action guys are wimps. "Oh noes, arbitration!" I would take 10 of those over 1 civil unlimited case in San Diego

If your claim is within the clause's scope, it's just a waste of time b/c they're literally impossible to escape.

And I'm not scared of them -- in the case with the 3M rows of data, the defensemos successfully moved to compel arbitration, but after an 18-month delay the arbitrator was like, "nah, epah's claim isn't within the scope of your clause."

(I'm guessing this is the first time in history a paid arbitrator has ever made such a ruling against a company)

I know I can turn it off when it comes to professional matters, but I don't know if I can trust him to do the same. I've never worked in a place where it was cool to bring politics to work, but obviously it's different at law firms where everyone is a shitlib.

Also, ask yourself if you'd feel comfortable referring a client to a lawyer who poasts nudes and shit on online chatborts. I would worry about the dood's ability to keep affairs confidential in general. I would wonder if he ever tokes on that crack pipe.
