The FBI has closed a politically charged voter fraud inquiry sought by Nevada's top federal prosecutor, after finding that 38,000 non-citizens may have voted in the 2020 presidential election, sources with direct knowledge of the probe told CBS News.
The FBI ended the inquiry in late January, after Sigal Chattah, the first assistant U.S. attorney in Nevada, had ordered the bureau in July to open a 2020 election fraud probe that could help flip a key congressional seat in Republicans' favor. |
