Frutiger Aero began around the same time as Autoadmit - coincidence?

Frutiger Aero (also known as Web 2.0 Gloss) is a design aesthetic that was prevalent from roughly 2005 to 2013, succeeding Y2K Futurism and overlapping with the Vectordelia and Recession Pop aesthetics. It is characterized by its use of skeuomorphism, glossy textures, cloudy skies, nature-oriented imagery (tropical fish, water, bubbles), lens flares, auroras, and bokeh, Frutiger fonts, and a color palette of white, green, and blue. The aesthetic's timeline coincides with the early days of Web 2.0 and the transition from feature phones to smartphones.
