even at 18, i felt completely the gravity of this quote and reflected on how true it must be.
i then lived the next 10+ years of my life in abject cowardice and fear. such that now, today, i look at the same quote and experience a detached feeling of being anchored with my past self, which lets me know that on some basic level, nothing in this world will ever change.
