Beshear is not nearly as charismatic as Shapiro, and both will do poorly head to head with vance. Shapiro would do better though. I know a good bit about Beshear. I've met him, and I've met his dad, though both only in passing. Beshear benefits from his father's extensive political machine, and him keeping office in KY shouldn't be construed for broad based blue collar appeal. I think he loses a primary to Shapiro. |

You may as well just tell me you've never seen Andy Beshear give a speech and have no idea what you're talking about about. He's not compelling, and his bleeding heart schtick is going to come across weakly when Vance runs on "this insane lib wants to let even more criminals out of jail the way he did before, and undo everything good we just accomplished."
The hillbilly elegy narrative is not what Vance will run on, and if Beshear tries to attack it Vance will dick him down. "that's not the Kentucky you know because your father was the governor, you grew up in Louisville." |
