He finishes top 5 every single week on the pga tour. That's like the equivalent of batting .400 in mlb this day in age. also wins "slams" from time to time.

because he plays golf and not tennis. he has no "slam" wins.

Rory probably has the best swing of any human who's ever lived but also the setups at congressional and kiawah were layups. he could just bomb it into the muni track cut rough and slap something out.

Tiger won 15 major championships. 4 of which were in consecutive order though being in different calendar years causing the term "Tiger Slam" to be used, which is a derivation of the baseball term "grand slam" that is only used when a Home Run is hit with loaded bases allowing for four runs to be scored. Home runs that don't fall into this criteria are called home runs and not home slams.

the baseball equivalent would involve 4 independent events, such as hitting for the cycle, or 4 singles in a game, or 4 home runs in a game. or home runs 4 days in a row

a grand slam home run is a type of home run. it isn't 4 different events of any sort.

the term grand slam means a home run with the bases loaded and scoring four runs. the number four is the significance.

golf has majors because they are major events hence the name.

actually, the golf term comes from tennis which comes from bridge.... not baseball

In 1933, Jack Crawford won the Australian, French, and Wimbledon Championships, leaving him just needing to win the last major event of the year, the U.S. Championships, to become the reigning champion of all four major tournaments,[18] a feat described as "a grand slam" by sports columnist Alan J. Gould of The Reading Eagle,[19] and later that year by John Kieran of The New York Times, who stated that if Crawford won at Forest Hills it "would be something like scoring a grand slam on the courts, doubled and vulnerable."[20][21] The term 'Grand Slam' originates from the card game contract bridge, where it is used for winning all possible tricks. In golf it was used for the first time to describe a total of four wins, specifically Bobby Jones' achievement of winning the four major golf tournaments of the era, which he accomplished in 1930.[21] "Grand Slam" or "Slam" has since also become used to refer to the tournaments individually.[5] The first player to win all four majors in a calendar year and thus complete a Grand Slam was Don Budge in 1938.[22]

yes, but the area immediately around the club is actually really nice old Atlanta style mansions, but some of the areas close to it are terrible. I think it is where BObby Jones first played golf and he is a former POTUS of the club.

I will add that in all of my time in Atlanta I have never known anyone who lived around there.

you can make that case for Tiger tbh. had to deal with Vijay and phoned out losers like mickelson and els and that was pretty much it. no one young stepped up during his time and his close majors wound up being duels against guys like chris dimarco, bob may, and rocco mediate. he even lost one to a guy named Yang.

competition is retardedly good now.
