I get recruiter emails now, and due to the NYC laws, they have to disclose compensation - and it's basiclly $200-260 base for standard in-house jobs at banks, PE funds, real estate shops, etc - and they all require like 4 days in the office 9-6 hours.

I'm very happy to make that amount in flyover in house doing like 20 hours of real work a week. Seems like a lot of people are making a similar amount doing big law type work with near big law type hours with a NYC cost of living.
