ITT: Memorable tree stories

Date: December 10th, 2025 10:57 AM Author: Midnight Cowboy (Christmas!) I have a prole neighbor that has like three generations of family living in a single family house. There are always a ton of people in his back and front yards. No idea what is going on over there.
Anyway, I am driving by his house one day and some woman runs out into the middle of the road and is violently telling me to back up. I do so as she looks like she's about to have a heart attack. A few seconds later, I see about a 40 foot tree fall across the road about 10 feet in front of me and absolutely pwn a power line. Sparks shoot everywhere and the entire neighborhood instantly loses power. I call 911 and report what I saw. Apparently this idiot and a few family members / friends were trying to fell a tree, didn't cut it right, and were using straps on the trunk such that it fell like 90 degrees in the wrong direction |
